Maizie @ Montgomery Thrift Shop

Montgomery Thrift Shop in Bethesda, MD is a wonderfully eccentric store that gives back to the community and has been in operation for over 70 years.
I was warmly greeted by one of the many managers at the quaint shop and learned that the organization's staff is 100% volunteer-run! Five different Montgomery County charities sponsor the shop and assist with volunteering efforts but the store still needs help most days of the week - I highly recommend volunteering with this non-profit gem! The managers are super nice and it is fun and rewarding to help with the shop's donation intake, cashier duties, and tidying all of the cool items and clothing throughout the store.
The shop needs help for the holidays and is SSL approved so feel free to call and ask for a volunteer form if you feel so inclined!

Class note-taker.
Volunteered time in COMM 220 Tuesday/Thursday classes for roughly 30 minutes per meeting time (twice per week).
Exceptions included in-class work days and special projects that required different attention.
Duties included taking notes on day-to-day classroom criteria. Notes should be short and need to apply only to matters needed to be recalled by the instructor, such as handouts provided, content structure and group/student participation as well as brief lecture summaries if necessary.
