Volunteering w/ Montgomery Parks at the Locust Grove Nature Center was probably one of most fun volunteering experiences I've had! We were properly introduced and welcomed, truly appreciated, and it was so much fun being outside in the park helping to remove invasive plants. The volunteer event was organized well and we were given all the tools needed to have a great day.
This volunteering experience was made great by my fellow volunteers in our group who had such great attitudes and made it so fun to work together. I felt positive about the effect of Habitat Restore's mission: to reuse and recycle donated furniture and home goods at cheap prices for people in the community. However, I felt the volunteering experience was somewhat disorganized and hectic, and it was tough to operate in that environment.
