"Reading is thinking." This is a phrase that stood up when I arrived at this High School. I came to serve as a writing tutor. I had a wonderful experience because I know the teacher of this class. She is phenomenal. She teaches writing and writing skills that shape students' abilities of critical thinking. I have learned a lot from her.
I came to this registry not knowing anything about bone marrow . I myself even participated in being a potential donor along with volunteering on helping other students signing up. It gave me an extra insight on this medical issue.
Great Initiative to help others in need
Montgomery Thrift Shop in Bethesda, MD is a wonderfully eccentric store that gives back to the community and has been in operation for over 70 years.
I was warmly greeted by one of the many managers at the quaint shop and learned that the organization's staff is 100% volunteer-run! Five different Montgomery County charities sponsor the shop and assist with volunteering efforts but the store still needs help most days of the week - I highly recommend volunteering with this non-profit gem! The managers are super nice and it is fun and rewarding to help with the shop's donation intake, cashier duties, and tidying all of the cool items and clothing throughout the store.
The shop needs help for the holidays and is SSL approved so feel free to call and ask for a volunteer form if you feel so inclined!
