Packed and delivered toys collected for Children's Hospital to the hospital.
Went on mission trip to Cumberland, Maryland to help with making repairs on individuals homes that can not afford or are able to make their repairs on their own. The trip was sponsored through Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church. We worked seven hours or more a day for seven days, I only participated for five days to make the repairs.In the evenings we took the time to get to know each other better and discuss our accomplishments for the day.
Acted as Vacation Bible School Director at Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church and as Vacation Bible School teacher for a group of students. As director worked with and guided five teachers and four youth who worked as helpers to assist the teachers.
Worked at the Rummage Sale held at Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church to raise money for the yearly Mission Trip. For 2017 the Mission Trip was to work in Cumberland, Maryland. While working the rummage sale offered help to individuals by answering questions about the goods we were selling and checked people out with their purchases. When needed assisted people to their vehicles with their purchases.
Volunteered as a child care attendant/Sunday School teacher at my church 3 hours each Sunday for children aged 1 to 5, and for a special needs child with downs syndrom aged 10. These hours were on Sunday's from June 4, 2017-September 3, 2017.
Volunteered 2 hours weekly from May 4, 2017 to April 12, 2018 as a volunteer genealogy consultant at the Family History Center in Kensington, Maryland. I would assist individuals that were interested in searching their family trees by showing them what is available online as well as microfilm and books that are held at the Family History Center in Kensington.
