In this mock Interview workshop, reviewed important tips and tricks for a job interview. We also discussed and learned from past job interviews on how to improve various skills. Based on these experiences, we reviewed common interview questions and practiced ideal responses. After this, each women had a one on one interview with the guest speakers.
During Raptor Tank, The One Heart Project had a booth which promoted the project and we set up bracelets as incentives for donation.
This day was the One Heart Project Award Ceremony Luncheon. We came early to finish setting the hall up and to set up all pictures, videos and jewelry. The event went by well and the Project was recognized by congress.
The day before the award ceremony, the three project leaders went to the hall to set up tables, arrange chairs, help set up AV and the food. We decorated the hall so that the event the next day will be ready to go.
The day before we set up the hall, the One Heart team went shopping for decorations, plates, spoons, napkins, table decor, etc. After shopping for the event, we went to Montgomery College in order to print the event programs, The One Heart certificates and sign in sheets for guests.
In the Dress for success workshop, we discussed the importance of one's appearance. This includes the manner in which one carries themselves physically and mentally. We also examined the do’s and don'ts in regards to apparel for a professional setting. After the workshop, we had each women pick and try on clothing donated by the English department.
Before the workshop, we set up the shelter room, constructed the clothing racks and I wen to the dry cleaners to pick up the professional clothing. We set up the room earlier so that when the guest speaker and ladies come, everything will be ready. The MCTV staff also helped to record the setup and workshop. The workshop was a success!
The day before Christmas, the One Heart team went shopping for the women at the shelter. We bought gifts for each women in the shelter and presented it to them.
After the fundraiser in Rockville, we decided to have another fundraiser in the Germantown campus. In this fundraiser, we raised over $50!
The One Heart project conducted a fundraiser at the Rockville Campus to raise money for the project. Through this fundraiser, we raised over $150!!

In this workshop, we gave an overview of our past workshops as well as our future plans. We will talk about our awards ceremony that will be held on January 13th, 2016 for our active members. We also filled out intent to participate forms for those who want to participate. As for budgeting, we discussed tips and tricks to manage a budget. This includes evaluating spending habits and how they can be adjusted to optimize your budget.

In this workshop, we evaluated different strategies that they can use to manage their time more efficiently. You analyzed their daily activities and reflected on what activities were more valuable to themselves. Lastly, they learned various techniques that will help them maximize their time management skills .

The day before Thanksgiving, the One Heart team held a Potluck at the Montgomery Avenue Women Shelter. Our aim for this potluck was to get the know the women more and show them that we really care. Through this event the women were more receptive in future workshops. We we responsible for getting all the food from various individuals and setting it up at the shelter.
In this workshop, we discussed the results from the occupation workshop last week and elaborated on the different potential suitable positions. We also discussed helpful tips and tricks for assembling a competitive and professional resume. During this time, we compared and contrasted their resume with sample resumes.

In this workshop, we explored careers that are suited to each individuals personality. We had them take the Myers-Briggs Personality Test which gave them an accurate reading of their personality type. From that, they researched career opportunities within their personality work field. After researching career opportunities, they had a clear view of the careers suited for them.
