Free Minds is a nonprofit that believes books and creative writing have the incredible power to teach, build community, inspire individuals and change lives. Free Minds members are incarcerated youth charged as adults who participate in book clubs and creative writing workshops that help them express their thoughts, experiences, emotions, and hopes.
At Free Minds On the Same Page events, MC volunteers will read inmate's poetry and write encouraging comments that will be returned to the youth.
