Volunteer with other MC students and faculty to host the first Montgomery College Vegweek 2017!
This spring semester, MC students and employee's will come together to host its very own VegWeek: a weeks long series of events revolving around a veg lifestyle. These events will take place in April, coinciding with US VegWeek 2017 and Earth Day 2017. Each event will have a different theme, allowing students to explore veg*ism from different perspectives including environmentalism, animal rights, health & fitness, and religion & culture.
Help us spread information and compassion through this opportunity! Accepted students will have an opportunity to lead, learn event planning, attend the events, and add their ideas.
Who can participate?
Anyone! You DO NOT have to currently be vegetarian or vegan to participate in this Planning Team or in the events! Whether you are vegetarian/vegan, curious, or simply enjoy event planning and volunteering, you are welcome.
What will we be doing?
Putting a weeks worth of events together is a lot of work! You will be working together with fellow students to explore ideas for the events, plan logistics, contact community partners, and be a student leader.
