Everyone has a role to play in ending violence again women and men, and, in turn, make your community safer.
Become an Empowered Bystander. Attend the 90 minute training to
1. Recognize violence,
2. Know your options for safe and effective intervention,
3. Be motivated to intervene to stop it.
-Developing skills for both direct and indirect intervention while keeping bystander’s own safety in mind.
-Increasing knowledge and awareness of scope and causes of sexual violence.
-Increasing recognition of inappropriate behavior along the continuum of sexual and relationship violence and how to respond to it safely and appropriately.
-Providing strategies, information and resources—within MC and in the community—for responding to these issues.
