What is missing map Map-a-thon?

- A map-a-thon is a coordinated mapping event. You are invited to make online map improvements to improve coverage and to help disaster risk assessment. In this event, mapathons use OpenStreetMap for storing data.

Why should you do it?

- A map-a-thon is a great opportunity for volunteers to digitally connect and map the most vulnerable places in the developing world so that local and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) can use these maps and data to better respond to crises affecting these areas. Up-to-date maps are important for the success of many humanitarian organizations around the world in responding to disasters.
